Q.What is the PIPER SALES STICKER CONTEST?
A. Our PIPER SALES STICKER CONTEST allows for all new and previously registered users of our Classifieds System to participate in a fun contest which involves picking up a Piper Sticker from one of our posted Trade Directory advertisers and sticking it on the rear window of your vehicle. Once a week, Mon-Fri., the Piper scout car will look for a rear window sticker. Once found, the vehicle plate number and vehicle color/make/description will be posted in the Classified Section under Announcements. You only have to check the site on a weekend to see if you've won. If you've won, email bruce@pipersales.ca to arrange picking up your winnings. Q.Why can't I place a Classified Ad?
A. Most likely, you have not registered for your FREE ACCOUNT. All users must first register for an account, then they will be able to start placing ads on the system. You may Register Here now. If you have registered and still need further help, please email us.

Q.Why should I choose Piper Sales Classifieds?
A. We at Piper Sales feel that by aggressively promoting our web site through, newspaper ads, Radio, Hwy. Billboard signs, Extensive e-mail notification, we offer maximum exposure for the sale or purchase of any item listed on our site for the costs involved.It is good to note it's also FREE.

Q. How can I get help placing a classified ad?
A. You have several options with regards to getting help placing a classified ad. You may:

  • Go to Services on this site - No Charge!
  • Use our "Quick Guide" to learn the basic steps for adding a listing
  • Or contact Piper Sales to place the ad (no charge) for you.

Q. How do I pay for an Ad "Extras" if I choose them?
A.You can pay for an Ad Extra by mailing a cheque to Piper Sales ,P.O. Box 513, Kenora,Ontario .P9N-3X5 .You will have an option to pay as soon as your ad is listed for approval via the confirmation email/invoice that will be sent to your accounts email address. It is therefore very important to use a valid email address when registering with the Piper Sales web site..

Once you have registered and posted an ad , if you have selected the PRIORITY or BOLD extra feature's then you must remit a cheque to Piper Sales within 7 days of the ad posting or it will be cancelled. The amount due will be e-mailed to you in the form of an e-mail invoice ,at the time you post your ad.
PLEASE NOTE: Any ads requiring payment that are submitted for approval and posting and that are not paid for within 7 days shall be deleted.This only applies to the cost of extra's. .

Q. What do you charge for placing ads?
A. Rates at Piper Sales are now FREE for all Personal and Non-Business Ads, thanks to our enclosed advertisers.

Q. How do I change information in an ad that’s already been posted?
A. You choose “Edit Ads” from either the top or bottom menu bar, choose the category your ad is in, choose “Modify/Renew Ad”, and enter it’s “Ad Number”. A form will appear with all your current settings. The changes you make to your ad will be submitted for approval by the Piper Sales Staff and posted within 24hrs.

Q. How do I upload photos to my ad and how many can I upload?

A. You may upload up to 3 photos for each ad. Each photo should be no larger than 400 pixels wide and 300 pixels high. For best results, use JPEG or GIF formats. Once you fill out your form details for an ad, you will be taken to a screen where you can browse your hard-drive for your photo(s). You will have to upload photos one at a time. If you want to upload multiple photos, choose “Edit Ads” from the menu bar at the either the top or bottom of the page, choose which type of ad you need to update (e.g powerboats), choose “Add/Edit Multimedia Files” and then select “Add Multimedia File”. You next be prompted to enter your ad listing and to find the photo you’d like to add to that listing. Repeat this procedure for adding other photos.

Q. How can I change my Profile settings?
A. Choose “My Profile” from the top or bottom menu bars and enter your current login information. You will then be directed to an area to modify your settings.

Q. What is a Checklist?
A. A checklist is a feature that lets you keep track of or watch a series of items. You can add specific listings to your checklist either from doing a general search or from within a given listing.

Q. What is Auto-Notify?
A. Auto-Notify is a feature where you can be notified whenever an ad is listed that meets a specific set of criteria of your choosing.



Website Questions

Q. How do I get my classified ad listed as your featured listing?
A. Featured Ad Listings cost CDN $64.20/month (incl.GST) and include placement in the regular classifieds system with full visibility and search results enhancement features. Please contact bruce@pipersales.ca for more information.

Q. Do I need a website to have a Business Card in your Trade Directory section?
A. No. In addition to providing extra exposure to local businesses, we hope that businesses will choose to use our Business Card feature as an easy way to promote their services on the world wide web. Piper Sales also offers a Website Design service. More information is available in our Trade Directory.

Q. Why should I choose a Business Card listing over a General Listing in the Trade Directory?
A. Business Card listings offer a lot more information than a General Listing. You get to include your company's logo, all contact information, a description of your services, and any and all web links you have available. Also, if you do not currently have a website, you may use the Business Card as an easy way to establish a presence for your company on the Internet. Check the Trade Directory for further explanation and costs.
